What do we do?

Our aim is to provide top-quality video of canine events — your events.

At selected events, we will tape all participants and offer them the chance to purchase copies of their own runs on DVD or VHS tape.

For special events, such as the Bytown Dog Obedience Club's HIT of HITs, we will create and offer copies of the entire event to the participants and the public.

We are also available for custom taping of any events or training you might want recorded.

How do we do it?

We use professional quality equipment, starting with the Panasonic AG-DVC30P mini-DV (digital video) camera coupled with a Sennheiser M66 shotgun microphone. Video is edited on computer and output to DVD or to VHS tape.

Our equipment and care allow us to obtain quality results in various conditions - from noisy and dim training halls to sunlit fields.

Who are we?

Rhéal Nadeau and Kathryn Kaiser are members of the dog community, competing in Agility and Obedience with our own dogs.

Why do we do this?

We started taping our own runs in Agility and Obedience, and quickly realized how valuable these recordings were, to help us improve as handlers ("why didn't the dog do that jump? Oh, my command was late and my shoulders were turned the wrong way!"), and as souvenirs of the successes (any run where handler and dog have fun is a success; qualifying runs are a bonus.)

As we taped our own runs, we found our friends, or even strangers, asking us to tape their runs as well. After a while, we realized that there was a strong demand for video of canine events – and realized that we had built up the expertise to offer this service ourselves.

Yes, Every Dog's Day is a business – but more than that, it's a way for us to get further involved in the dog sports community.
